Entry requirements

The University of Bedfordshire requires the following qualifications for entry to degree level study.

Entry requirements for Bulgaria
The entry requirement for Bulgaria is typically:

  • an overall score of 3 or above in the Diploma za Zavarsheno Sredno Obrazovanie or Diploma za Sredno; some degree specialisms require higher scores 0f 4.5 or 5 and above
  • at least Grade 5 in English in the Diploma of Secondary Education

Entry requirements for Latvia
The entry requirement for Latvia is typically:

  • a minimum of 5 at Atestas par visparejo vidējo izglitibu
  • at least Grade 8 in English at state examinations (alternatively an English certificate including: Cambridge Advanced in English (CAE) at grade C; Cambridge Proficiency in English (CPE) at grade C; IELTS at grade 5.5; TEOFL at 550/ 213 /80 points)

Entry requirements for Lithuania
The entry requirement for Lithuania is typically:

  • a Brandos Atestatas overall grade 5 with 35% overall grade at state examinations
  • at least 75% in English at state examinations (alternatively an English certificate including: Cambridge Advanced in English (CAE) at grade C; Cambridge Proficiency in English (CPE) at grade C; IELTS at grade 5.5; TEOFL at 550/ 213 /80 points)

Entry requirements for Poland

The entry requirement for Poland is typically:

  • an overall score of 60% or above in the Matura; some degree specialisms require a minimum of 60% overall in the ‘new’ Matura with 2 extended subjects at 65% or 70% and above
  • 60% overall in Matura English language examinations (written, oral)

Entry requirements for Romania
The entry requirement for Romania is typically:

  • an overall score of 6 or above in the Baccalaureate; some degree specialisms require a minimum of 7 or 8 and above
  • an English certificate including: Cambridge Advanced in English (CAE) at grade C; Cambridge Proficiency in English (CPE) at grade C; IELTS at grade 5.5; TEOFL at 550/ 213 /80 points

Additional information
We advise students to aim for the higher overall grade – such as an 8.5 in the Baccalaureate (Romania); a 5 in the Diploma za Zavarsheno Sredno Obrazovanie or Diploma za Sredno (Bulgaria); and 60% overall in the Matura with 2 extended subjects at 70% (Poland), in order to be eligible for the highest value bursary at the University.

European Union students cannot apply for any Nursing, Social Work or Teaching subjects as these are currently only available for UK students.
